Anyone done the Clutch delay valve removal? Some have said to just remove the valve and put the line into the cyl. others insist on using a fitting with the "valve" gutted.

Did this ont he Z4 MCoupe and it helped shifting from 1-2 somewhat. It's still a little tricky, though,

I used the replacement valve from Zeckhausen: http://www.zeckhausen.com/CDV.htm As far as I'm concerned it's the only way to go. I don't believe you can just take the valve out. The line won't reach, or at least I wasn't willing to bend it to force it to reach.

I removed my CDV entirely and just reconnected the clutch line. The only real reason to use a gutted valve is to fool the dealer into thinking your driveline hasn't been modified for warranty reasons.

What Vinny said.

I did this on an e36 M3 and was able to bend the line to reach.
A little tricky, but it was not my car.....

What Vince and Bill said. Mine was already removed, but did it on another without any modifications.
