Greetings, BMW Fans!
As we come to the close of another year, when we (and some of our cars) hibernate, it’s a time of reflection for many of us. Even more so for me this year, as I pass the baton to our new Club President, John Noce. John and the new board will do a tremendous job, and I’m thankful to them for their service. It reminds me that this Club, like any volunteer organization, “runs” on all of you who volunteer your time for the benefit of your fellow club members.
Over the last two years as President, I have been fortunate to see so many people contribute to our Club. There is the board, who greet new members, respond to email inquiries, and plan and run most of the 30+ events that we put on every year. There are all of the Street Survival instructors, who take an entire day (on the weekend, even!) to teach new drivers how to stay safe in an emergency situation before it happens. And there are people like Calvin and Kelsey, who stay after at Cars & Coffee, picking up trash and making sure the parking lot is clear…just because it’s the right thing to do. All of these contributions, big and small, make a difference.
So, in this, my last letter as President, I want to give my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have stood up and helped out — you make our club strong and a heckuva lot of fun to be part of.
All the best,
