Metric Mechanic Trip 2008. On Saturday, April 5, 2008 we'll be headed down I-44 in a BMW caravan for a 2 hour drive to Richland, Missouri to see Jim Rowe and his Metric Mechanic workshop. The Metric Mechanic works exclusively rebuilding BMW engines and drive trains. This is a very interesting, educational all-day trip, with lunch included courtesy of Jim and Mary Rowe. This is one trip you shouldn't miss. Carpool with someone, drive by yourself, it's a fun drive down and back home. DRIVING EVENT
The St. Louis BMW Club is holding a High Performance Driving School at Gateway International Raceway on Friday Saturday and Sunday, June 6 - 8, 2008. Only Instructors and Advanced Students on Friday. Registration will be done through MotorSports Registration just as it was done last time. Keep an eye on this site, your e-mail box and the Gesundheit for more information. You can also e-mail our Driving Events Coordinator, Peter Rossato at drive@stlbmwcca.org.
A couple of reminders:
1) Sign up for the package that meets your situation. There are distinct packages for Students and Instructors. The Friday tuning days are open to instructors and advanced students only. Advanced students must have the permission of the Chief Instructor to participate on the Friday session.
2) Payment must be made through MSR by credit card.
Also, we'll have some BMW Motorcycles on display at the track during this driving event. Motorcycles are provided by Gateway BMW Motorcycles. Sorry, you can't drive them, only look at them....well, at least you can't drive them on the track.
